Harlequin Demon is a citizen of Halloween Town.
Appearance[]
He is a monster who has creepy yellow eyes, many sharp teeth, and three black and orange fronds on his head. The Demon's upper jaw and lower jaw are completely dislocated from one another and only connected by a single appendage in the center of its mouth making its lower jaw have a bowl shape. The creature is covered in feathers and fluff of an orange, green, and black color scheme.
Personality[]
Harlequin Demon, like the rest of the residents of Halloween Town, loves to scare others and take part in big events and help out in their preparation. Due to being a monster, he has no trouble with frightening and disgusting things and gladly enjoys messing around with dead animal's corpses, however he has very little understanding of nice and pretty things due to being a resident of Halloween Town. He also seems to be skilled at turning rotting animal corpses into wearable hats, even considering himself a genius regarding this task.
The Nightmare Before Christmas[]
During the song This is Halloween, he is hiding in the trash can and in the center of town during the festivities that happened after the song. During the preparations for Christmas, he made hats made from dead rats and bats, Making Christmas. He lastly appears at the end of the movie when all of the creatures are confused by the Christmas snow.

- The monster is modeled and named after a classical form of clown known as a harlequin. Harlequins were distinguished by dressing in clothing covered in diamond color schemes of orange/red and green/black which the feathers of the Harlequin Demon channel. They are also portrayed as having jester hats which the three tentacles of the Harlequin Demon resemble. In classical tradition, Harlequins were trickster characters who often played demons or the devil in story performances, hence the nature of the Harlequin Demon.
- On the free online building game 'Roblox,' a hat entitled 'Halloween Monster' was released. It is essentially the Harlequin Demon's upper head, with the eyes and tentacles Nergal from "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy", Black Mutant Monster Demon Pain and Panic From Hercules Purple and Green, the hat has been put off-sale mainly because of copyright reasons.
- Looking at simply his face, he looks very similar to The Monster Under the Bed, albeit with green eyes instead of red.
